Miami Beach condo owners with questions or disputes about their associations can meet in person with Florida’s condominium ombudsman and staff from the state Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s Division of Condominiums on two Thursdays next month, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19, both starting at 10 a.m.

The city said on X on Thursday that it is hosting the ombudsman and DBPR representatives, calling it a chance to speak directly with state staff about condo issues. The state’s event calendar lists both dates as Miami Beach in-person office hours and says appointments must be booked in advance through the division’s online scheduler: choose “In-Person Ombudsman Office Hours,” then Miami Beach, then an open time slot.

The November listings do not give an address. The same calendar placed the October sessions at the Miami Beach Government Center, 1700 Convention Center Drive, and limited them to people who live in Miami Beach.

The ombudsman’s office answers questions about condo owners’ rights and association rules, but it is not where formal complaints go. Complaints about a condo association or property manager have to be filed with DBPR, according to the city’s neighborhood and condo associations page, which lists the ombudsman’s email, [email protected], for general questions.
