'Vice City' Goodyear blimp floats over Normandy Shores
The airship, painted to promote the video game Grand Theft Auto VI, was spotted Thursday over the North Beach golf course.
A Goodyear blimp lettered “Vice City” drifted over the Normandy Shores golf course Thursday, and local resident Mel C. caught it on camera.
The dark blue and gray airship is part of the promotion for Grand Theft Auto VI, the Rockstar Games video game set in Vice City, a fictional version of Miami. The game is scheduled for release Nov. 19, WSVN 7News reported. The station’s helicopter spotted the blimp over South Florida earlier this month.
Goodyear is flying the blimp with its new Vice City design across South Florida, Motorsport.com reported. It is set to appear at Hard Rock Stadium and at Homestead-Miami Speedway for NASCAR’s championship weekend, Nov. 7–9.
