Allison Island stormwater work pushed to Dec. 7–18
The city says weather delayed drain cleaning and concrete repairs along Allison Road; crews may work in front of individual driveways.
Stormwater drainage rehabilitation on Allison Island, delayed by weather, will resume Dec. 7, the City of Miami Beach said in a notice Friday.
According to the notice, work is scheduled Dec. 7–18, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will clean stormwater pipes and catch basins and make concrete repairs or replace existing drainage structures where needed. The city describes it as preventive maintenance meant to extend the life of the system and reduce localized drainage problems.
Residents should expect crews, equipment and noise along Allison Road during work hours. Because several drainage structures sit near driveways, crews may need to work directly in front of individual properties. The city said all properties will keep access and that affected owners will be contacted in advance with the schedule.
The notice is the only source for these details; Red Sidewalks has not independently verified it.
