Philip Levine files plans for eight-story office building on Alton Road
The former mayor's project at 930 and 960 Alton Road would replace a 1990 office building and a retail building; the Planning Board hears it Dec. 8.
Former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine has filed plans for an eight-story office building at 930 and 960 Alton Road, near 10th Street and across from Whole Foods, Commercial Observer reported. The city’s Planning Board is scheduled to take up the application on Dec. 8.
This story is based on Commercial Observer’s report. Red Sidewalks has not yet seen the application in city records.
The roughly $36 million project, designed by Arquitectonica, would have about 37,037 square feet of offices and about 760 square feet of ground-floor retail, according to the report. Floors one through three would hold 106 parking spaces. Floors four and five would include “residential office” suites combining office space with living quarters.
The building would replace a 1990 office building and a neighboring retail building on the site, Commercial Observer reported.
Levine’s attorney on the application, Tracy Slavens of LSN Law, did not immediately respond to Commercial Observer’s request for comment. The Dec. 8 hearing is the project’s next public step; Planning Board agendas are posted on the city’s meeting portal ahead of each meeting.
