The Town of Surfside has closed the road at 93rd Street and Byron Avenue while Public Works crews work on the sewer pump station there, according to a traffic alert the town sent Wednesday evening.

The town said the roadway will stay closed while the work is underway, but the alert did not say when it would reopen. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to use caution, follow posted signs and take other routes.

The information comes from the town’s alert, which Red Sidewalks has not independently verified. Residents can sign up for Surfside’s alerts on the town’s website.
