Miami Beach Police will restrict vehicle traffic in the Lakeview neighborhood on Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5 p.m. to midnight, the city announced Friday. The notice is the city’s own and Red Sidewalks has not independently verified it.

Vehicles will not be allowed to enter, leave or drive within the neighborhood during those hours, and the roadway may reopen earlier depending on crowd sizes, according to the city. Residents are asked to have visitors arrive before 5 p.m.

All entry points will be blocked with heavy-duty trucks, the city said, with Cherokee Avenue the only access point. Residents should carry proof of residency to get in or out. 51 Street will remain open to traffic.

Parking next to the neighborhood will be temporarily restricted, and the city said illegal parking inside it is prohibited and violators may be towed at the owner’s expense. Access to Fisher Park will be restricted starting at 5 p.m., and the city asked people not to park on the grass around the park.

For questions, the city directs residents to the Mid Beach Neighborhood Affairs Coordinator through its Neighborhood Affairs Division at miamibeachfl.gov/NAD.
