The Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights will light up the 1400 block of Ocean Drive with free shows Dec. 12 to 20, its organizer, the nonprofit Miami Beach Classical Music Festival, announced in a release published by Miami’s Community News.

The shows pair live orchestra music with light projected onto The Betsy hotel at Ocean Drive and 14th Street, along with holiday characters and snow effects, according to the announcement. Shows are at 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, and at 6 and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 13, 19 and 20. On opening night, the festival’s concert is followed by the City of Miami Beach’s annual holiday drone show on the beach.

The organizer says the shows are free and open to the public. The festival is supported by the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority and the city. The announcement doesn’t mention street closures. Details, when posted, will be at miamimusicfestival.com, which lists the festival but had no schedule up as of Wednesday.
