Ukiyo, a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, is coming to 818 Lincoln Road
NOAH Hospitality Group's 7,431-square-foot Japanese restaurant is due to open this month, according to World Red Eye. State records list it with 399 seats.
Ukiyo, a Japanese restaurant built around a kaiten, or conveyor-belt, sushi bar, is set to open at 818 Lincoln Road this month, World Red Eye reported Tuesday. No opening date has been announced.
The restaurant comes from NOAH Hospitality Group, with Nono Shigetomi as executive chef. World Red Eye’s report describes a 7,431-square-foot space with a custom belt carrying nigiri, sashimi and rolls, plus robata skewers, ramen, tempura, fried rice, kamameshi cooked at the table and a dumpling cart. Casa Medina Design Studio designed the room, which has an outdoor dining area.
Florida’s restaurant licensing file lists Ukiyo at 818 Lincoln Road with 399 seats.
The opening has slipped before. In September, What Now Miami reported a mid-October target and said the owners wanted a family-friendly place with affordable prices that locals would visit weekly. Menu prices haven’t been published.
World Red Eye says Ukiyo will serve dinner Tuesday through Sunday and stay open until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The opening timeline comes from those reports; Red Sidewalks has not confirmed it with the owners.
