Voters who still have a mail ballot at home cannot turn it in at their polling place on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. It must reach one of two county elections offices by 7 p.m., according to notices from the Town of Surfside and Miami-Dade County.

The two offices are Elections Headquarters, 2700 NW 87th Ave. in Doral, and the Stephen P. Clark Government Center branch office, 111 NW 1st St. in downtown Miami, the Surfside notice says. Early voting, and the ballot intake stations at early voting sites such as Miami Beach City Hall, ended Sunday.

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, and voters must go to their assigned precinct, which is printed on their voter information card, the county says. Voters in Sunny Isles Beach precinct 002 vote at Gateway Park this time.

Voters whose mail ballot is flagged for a signature problem have until 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, to send the Supervisor of Elections the cure affidavit and a copy of their ID, according to Surfside’s notice.

Unofficial results begin posting after 7 p.m. on the Supervisor of Elections’ website, votemiamidade.gov.

What’s on local ballots

Besides the federal, state and county races, Miami Beach voters decide one city question, on the 1691 Michigan Avenue ground lease. Sunny Isles Beach elects a mayor and two commissioners. The county’s sample ballot lists no local contests or questions for Surfside, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands or North Bay Village. In the state House race for District 106, Miami Beach Rep. Fabián Basabe, a Republican, faces Lucia Báez-Geller.
